Super 8, an analogue format introduced by Kodak in 1965, was once a beloved home‑movie medium. Shot on fully serviced 1970s silent cameras, it now offers a cross‑generational way to document weddings, elopements, engagement sessions, and other moments meant to linger.

At our studio, Super 8 coverage is available a la carte alongside full video packages, or as a standalone experience for couples drawn to something slow, tactile, and cinematic. We focus exclusively on analogue film, ensuring every frame carries the warmth, subtle imperfection, and quiet nostalgia that digital simply can’t replicate.

Yes! Super 8 video works beautifully alongside lead photography. For highlight and feature films, a second photographer assists with photo and video coverage to ensure no key moments are missed. Trailer-length films focus on in-between moments and don’t require an assistant.

We book Super 8 video coverage 1 year in advance to ensure we’re able to price and source our film offerings with care.

After your Super 8 footage is developed and scanned at our specialty lab in Colorado, the first cut of your film is typically delivered within 12 weeks. This includes up to two rounds of revisions so your final film feels perfectly polished.

Most couples choose highlight films or feature-length Super 8 wedding videos, depending on the story they want to tell.
If you’d like your film sooner, a rush option is available through an alternate lab, delivering the first cut in as little as 6 weeks.

Super 8 wedding video offers a timeless, cinematic look that digital video can’t replicate. Its warm tones, natural grain, and analog texture create a romantic, nostalgic feel perfect for capturing your day as an intimate, artful story.

Pricing depends on film length, coverage hours, and date.

Feature-length films typically include six hours of coverage, while highlight or trailer films are available for select dates. Summer weekends may require a minimum service investment. Contact us to discuss your wedding date, coverage needs and we’ll extend an estimate.

For highlight films or feature-length Super 8 wedding videos, your coverage includes a second photographer and coverage assistant for up to 4 hours. This ensures that critical moments like ceremonies, first looks, and ring exchanges are captured on film, while I focus on lead photography.

Trailer-length or shorter Super 8 films focus on candid, in-between moments and usually do not require a second photographer.

You’ll also complete a custom questionnaire highlighting the people, moments, and vibes you want the film to focus on. While I don’t capture extensive iPhone content during photography coverage, clients receive a curated selection of behind-the-scenes footage as a preview while they await their final film.

Yes! Super 8 wedding video coverage can be booked as a standalone service:

Highlight and trailer-length projects are available for select dates. Feature films can be booked up to 1 year in advance.

Please note: Weekend dates during busy summer and fall months carry a minimum investment. Coverage options can be tailored further in a consultation call.

Two options are available – vow recordings can be added to highlight and feature films. We generally use licensed or royalty-free music for our client work – we can share a playlist with recommended songs if you’d like to revise our original selections.

After scanning at our lab, your Super 8 wedding video is delivered as a high-quality 4K .mp4 file, ready to download and share. We can also discuss other delivery formats if preferred if you’d like the film rolls to be kept as a keepsake.

The first cut focuses on refining which footage we include, the second focuses on sound scape, and the third is a final text and polish. Please allow up to +2 weeks to process each revision request.

Absolutely. Super 8 video isn’t just for weddings — it’s perfect for elopements, engagement sessions, save the dates and creative projects. Some couples enjoy capturing engagement sessions to project at their wedding.
