At the heart of everything we do is a deep belief: love is for everyone, and everyone deserves to feel seen, safe, and celebrated — including the earth we share.

THE PAST AND FUTURE OF WEDDINGS

We recognize that weddings and the wedding industry have not always been welcoming or empowering. They also carry environmental impacts that we cannot ignore. Our mission is to collaborate on redefining production and celebration approaches to reflect a more equitable, ethical, accessible, and inclusive paradigm.

INCLUSIVITY

We commit to holding space for all identities and love stories, including clients of all races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, abilities, and backgrounds — with particular awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community and historically underrepresented couples.

We work intentionally to reflect this in our craft:

– Posing couples in ways that align with their chemistry

– Creating photo lists that include chosen family members (and fur babies!)

– Respecting the unique ways people define and celebrate their milestones

Elopements and non-traditional weddings hold a special place in the studio’s heart, inspired by our own family history in West Coast micro wedding traditions.

We remain feeling- and vision-oriented, using inclusive language, referring clients to vetted, aligned vendors, and providing a booking and photography experience grounded in sensitivity and care.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We strive to be thoughtful stewards of the land we work on. As settlers on the unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən Peoples and Coast Salish Peoples, we commit to accountability in how we operate and tread on the earth.

ENVIRONMENTAL CARE

Sustainability informs our approach in small and large ways:

– Refurbishing and maintaining gear to reduce e-waste
– Using rechargeable batteries
– Prioritizing local, Canada-first, reused, or rental materials for shoots
– Low-impact, leave-no-trace elopements in nature
– Intentional printing and product orders from ethos-aligned producers
– We aim to empower couples to plan celebrations that reflect their values while minimizing impact on the planet.

ACCOUNTIBILITY + AUTHENTICITY

We are human — learning, unlearning, and evolving and doing what we can to source niche materials in the ways that we can. Our studio doesn’t fit folks into binaries.

Here, authenticity is celebrated — whether that’s dancing, flowers, yoga, cats, or even a day at the gun range. What matters is that you show up as yourself.

Our team is committed to listening, learning, and exploring how you need to be seen. We promise to continue honouring and serving love in all its forms, with integrity, care, and creativity.
