A COZY WEEKEND DESTINATION WEDDING WITH DEAR FRIENDS – WICKANNINISH INN

V + M had a beautiful vision for their moody fall celebration at the Wickanninish Inn. They reached out in June for their October mico wedding and were immediately drawn to the digital and film approach the studio specializes in and were so excited that we could weave a vow recording over their Super 8 footage.

From a private vow reading on a storm-swept beach, to dancing in the rain on Chesterman Beach, this couple really embraced the elements and moody charm of deep fall, which inspired one of my favourite moody galleries of 2024 season. Something that I adored about this day and gallery is the haunting mood and stillness of the October season in Tofino in contrast to this couple’s wonderful sense of style and humour they wove into their vows and toasts throughout the day.

A RECEPTION IN THE POINTE RESTAURANT + HOWARD’s WINE CELLAR

They requested a more private approach to online sharing, so here is a curated selection of their beautiful day and wonderful details as we storm watched and enjoyed the changing of the season. The floral installations by Pollen and Co. which framed the ceremony space were hauntingly beautiful in the low evening light and framed the wine cellar feast beautifully.

At their reception, they dove into drinks, dances and refreshments, and a rich multi-course meal by the renowned chefs at the Pointe Restaurant. Dinner was served in the downstairs Howard’s Wine Cellar adorned with fresh foliage and blue ribbon seating details. Each plate arrived full of flavour and artistic platting, while dear uncles told stories and mentored guests on how to french the table roses. Coverage ended with V’s father leading a beautiful, heartfelt prayer for the newly weds.
