Our coverage approach is highly documentary in nature so that you have space to enjoy and experience your moments fully while we share in and steer the celebrations as needed.
We try to work in a way that offers supportive guidance – without invading the moment or creating deeply unnatural and artificial scenes for the sake of a photo op.
How it feels for you matters – because how it looks when you look back on it all – is ultimately a reflection of how it all made you feel.

While we welcome Pinterest as a vibe check tool, recreating poses can quickly stifle the unique-to-you style and energy in your images, so we like to weave the ingredients you value most into the flavour and approach our studio is known for.

Bathtub couple photoshoot during the reception, in the iconic Pearl Jam Suite along the Seattle Waterfront
The elopement of a drag performer
Cocktail hour games that included archery and the groom and his friends skate boarding
Vegas-themed dance party, where one of the groomsmen surprised everyone with a chip and dale routine

The Tennants
We had Kate for our Wedding in October 2023 and she was just the best and that’s why we are writing this review! Kate genuinely cared about the experience and capturing the moments (not just a business transaction). Also, she was in the forefront capturing it all… but also it felt like she wasn’t there – which is great and made people feel super comfortable since she wasnt like in their face you know? Thanks a ton for all that you did on our special day Kate! 🙂 As an aside, she does film too and Super 8 which is awesome.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Kate. We did an engagement shoot with her last year and our photos turned out amazing. Both myself and my fiancé are a bit awkward in front of a camera and she did a great job suggesting poses that didn’t feel forced, as well as making us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. She was able to include our dogs in the photos and gave us a great selection of shots to choose from for our final selection. She was extremely responsive and didn’t make us feel rushed throughout any part of the process. Her attention to detail is spectacular.

In regards to Kate’s photography — we looked far and wide for a photographer who matched our vision. We loved that Kate captured our wedding using multiple modes of photography (including film and polaroid cameras) while also documenting it using methods we loved (documentary style, motion blur, etc.).

LET’S TURN MOMENTS INTO MAGIC
The people I connect with are real and sentimental romantics – my approach when working with each of them is to capture the unique ways that they hold, appreciate, and care for themselves and one another and celebrate beyond the “have to’s” of tradition.
My coverage approach is documentary in nature – it focuses on curating moments and details in between a candid photojournalism workflow that seeks out and anticipates the wonderful ways that young children animate their elders and the belly laughs that the oldest friends evoke.
On Wedding days, I give people and couples space to enjoy the day and stay connected and grounded in their celebrations – and find moments during our time together to laugh, capture connection and enjoy quality time as I guide you through our time together.
First and foremost – photography experiences are about creating and capturing and curating our time together, while leaving space for the special and unexpected magic to unfold.
